Get SIDELINE running.
Install
Close your DAW. Run the signed Mac or Windows installer, then reopen your DAW and rescan plugins. Mac supports macOS 12 or later on Intel and Apple silicon. Windows supports 64-bit Windows 10 (1809 or later) and Windows 11. Linux includes an x86-64 Debian package tested on Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. Open it with your package installer, or use the manual archive and copy SIDELINE.vst3 into ~/.vst3. AU is Mac only.
Route the trigger
Put SIDELINE on the bass or bus you want to duck. Send the kick, snare or vocal to its external sidechain input through your DAW. FL Studio uses VST3, Logic uses AU. Watch the trigger waveform and key-level meter, then use Auto Fit or draw your envelope.
Activate
Click either the Unglued logo or SIDELINE wordmark, then Activate. Sign in to your Unglued account in the browser. The first 100 verified account claims receive a permanent free licence, then SIDELINE costs £19. Both licences activate two computers and work offline once activated. Active coaching access is also supported.
If it goes quiet
The demo starts when audio first plays. After 90 seconds it pauses for 15 seconds, then plays for 60 seconds between pauses. The account panel opens when a demo pause starts. Close it to keep trying SIDELINE, or activate to remove the pauses.
Updates
SIDELINE checks for a new version when you open its interface. Click either header logo to check manually or install an available update. The download is verified before the installer opens. Finish the installation, then restart your DAW. If Linux cannot open the package automatically, the update panel shows where it was saved.
Manage computers
Remove an old computer from your account if both slots are used. Close your DAW before installing a new release. Your project curves and automation keep their existing identities.
